Tirreno Adriatico 2026, Stage 7: route, favourites and TV coverage

14/03/2026

There’s hardly any need to say it: Tirreno Adriatico 2026 finishes once again in San Benedetto del Tronto. This time the final stage starts from Civitanova Marche, but the podium and the final ceremonies are once again set up in the city that has always been the stage for the race’s final act.
With the exception of the first edition in 1966, which finished in Pescara, it has always been San Benedetto del Tronto that has brought the Race of the Two Seas to its conclusion. This will therefore be the 60th final finish here, and remarkably the 72nd time the city has hosted a stage.

The Route of Stage 7

The final stage covers 142 km, starting on the Adriatic coast before heading inland. The riders will tackle the climbs of Montefiore d’Aso (10.9 km at 3.4%) and Ripatransone (8.4 km at 4.6%) in quick succession, but after the long descent toward Grottammare there will be no further elevation difficulties.
The race will then enter the now traditional San Benedetto del Tronto circuit, 15 km long and to be repeated five times, where the sprinters will most likely battle it out for the final finish of the race.

The Favourites

The sprinters will have one last chance to make their mark after a week that has offered them few opportunities. Jonathan Milan (Lidl–Trek) will have to face a Tobias Lund Andresen (Decathlon AG2R La Mondiale) in outstanding form, but there is also Jasper Philipsen (Alpecin–Premier Tech), who will be able to rely on Mathieu Van der Poel as his final lead-out man, as the Dutchman himself has already confirmed.

Also keep an eye on the young Paul Magnier (Soudal–QuickStep) and Arnaud De Lie (Lotto), as well as Pavel Bittner (Picnic PostNL), Danny Van Poppel (Red Bull–Bora–hansgrohe), Giovanni Lonardi (Polti VisitMalta) and Enrico Zanoncello (Bardiani CSF–Faizanè).
