The first half of the stage is wavy, while the last 80 kms are perfectly flat. Starting uphill, the route passes through Monteprandone and takes in a tough climb to Cossignano. It then undulates through Montalto delle Marche and Carassai, all the way to Ripatransone. A long descent through Grottammare then leads into the closing circuit (approx. 15 kms), to be covered 5 times. The circuit is largely played out on wide and straight tarmac roads.
Final kilometres
The last 3 kms run along wide and mainly straight roads, with a few mild bends in the first part. There is one last double bend approximately 1 km before the finish line, which sits on 8 m wide tarmac.
