Unfortunately for the riders, the Marche walls at Tirreno Adriatico 2026 are not limited to those tackled in Stage 5. They return again – even tougher and more decisive – in Stage 6, which runs from San Severino Marche to Camerino over 188 km.
The total elevation gain will once again be 3,900 meters, but this time it’s the last chance. Anyone who wants to win the Trident trophy will have to make their move here.
The Route of Stage 6
After just over 50 km of racing, the climb to Sassotetto, the Valico di Santa Maria Maddalena (13.1 km at 7.3%), will begin and could already make a first selection in the peloton.
The race then reaches Camerino, climbing the eastern side of the city (1.4 km at 10.9%) before entering the final circuit of 28.6 km, to be covered twice.
The loop is extremely demanding, as it features the climb of the Muro della Madonna delle Carceri, which leads to the finish in Camerino. The ascent is 3 km long, with an average gradient of 8.8% and ramps up to 18%. After the third ascent, the finish line awaits, and it is reasonable to expect a very selective finish, with riders arriving one by one.
