The 61st edition of the Tirreno Adriatico Crédit Agricole, scheduled from 9 to 15 March, was presented today at the Parlamentino of Palazzo Li Madou in Ancona.
The Race of the Two Seas will cross five Italian regions with a varied route offering opportunities for every type of rider: from the individual time trial in Lido di Camaiore, which as per recent tradition will open the battle for the Maglia Azzurra, to the final stage in San Benedetto del Tronto, where the Trident of Neptune will be raised to the sky.
After setting aside the summit finishes that had characterised recent editions, the route remains full of challenges, such as the gravel sector concluding the San Gimignano stage and the numerous short, steep climbs featured in the stages through the Marche region, which are likely to play a decisive role in shaping the general classification.
The overall elevation gain increases to 15,550 metres, compared to 14,400 metres in the 2025 edition.

A perfectly flat individual time trial made up of two almost entirely straight out-and-back sections along the seafronts of Camaiore and Viareggio, with only a few connecting corners and a turnaround point. A U-turn at km 5.4 in Viareggio marks the intermediate time check. The return leg heads straight back to Lido di Camaiore, where an S-bend leads into the final kilometre.
10/03/2026 | STAGE 2, CAMAIORE-SAN GIMIGNANO, 206 KM
An undulating and complex stage, especially in the second half. Starting from Camaiore, the route passes through Montemagno to reach Pisa and then the Livorno area, leaving the coast near Cecina to head inland towards Pomarance. The climb on the Cerreto road features sections with double-digit gradients. The race continues over the climb of Castelnuovo Val di Cecina, followed by a sequence of rolling terrain leading to a 5.3 km gravel sector on the outskirts of San Gimignano. The gravel is mainly uphill, with some very steep sections. The finish is in the town centre, with a final short ramp at 15% at the entrance to San Gimignano.
11/03/2026 | STAGE 3, CORTONA-MAGLIANO DE’ MARSI, 225 KM
A very long and gently rolling stage, characterised by a succession of mild ups and downs, including areas such as Todi and the Marmore Falls. A fast finale, gradually rising over the final 15 km, leads to the finishing straight with an average gradient of around 3%.
12/03/2026 | STAGE 4, TAGLIACOZZO-MARTINSICURO, 210 KM
A stage that opens with two classic Apennine climbs, Ovindoli and the Valico delle Capannelle, followed by a long descent towards Teramo. The final section features a sequence of steep climbs and short ramps. Riders tackle Castellalto (with gradients around 12% for long stretches), Mosciano Sant’Angelo, and, 12 km from the finish, the Tortoreto climb via Badetta, which reaches 20% in its final section. A short descent precedes around 8 km along the seafront to the finish.
13/03/2026 | STAGE 5, MAROTTA-MONDOLFO-MOMBAROCCIO, 186 KM
A highly undulating stage dotted with numerous climbs of varying difficulty, at least ten in total, some classified as KOMs. From Marotta, the route passes through Mondolfo and then tackles a succession of climbs in the Metauro River area, including Villa del Monte and Monterolo, before ascending Monte delle Cesane, whose opening kilometres feature gradients of around 15%. After passing through Saltara and Cartoceto, the race reaches Mombaroccio and enters a 21.6 km finishing circuit to be covered twice. The circuit includes several rolling sections and the very demanding climb to the Santuario del Beato Sante. The final summit is crested 1,500 metres from the finish, followed by a 300 m uphill sprint.
14/03/2026 | STAGE 6, SAN SEVERINO MARCHE-CAMERINO, 189 KM
A very demanding and undulating stage, featuring numerous climbs, including the Sassotetto ascent (Valico di Santa Maria Maddalena) around halfway through the route. The race then reaches Camerino via the eastern side of the city before entering a tough 29.1 km finishing circuit to be completed twice. After a turnaround near Castelraimondo, the route gradually turns uphill, leading into the final 3 km on the Muro della Madonna delle Carceri, with gradients reaching 18%. The finish is located at the top of the third ascent.
15/03/2026 | STAGE 7, CIVITANOVA MARCHE-SAN BENEDETTO DEL TRONTO, 143 KM
A stage that is slightly undulating in the opening part and completely flat over the final 80 km. The start follows the Adriatic coast before heading inland through the Aso Valley from Pedaso and climbing to Montefiore dell’Aso. After a short descent, the route reaches Ripatransone via the final gentle climb. A long descent leads to Grottammare, before entering a 15 km finishing circuit to be completed five times. The circuit runs mainly on wide, straight roads.
